- The situation
- A mid-sized destination wanted more arrivals from France and Benelux. It had attended trade fairs but had little recognition with operators or media, and leads from fairs were not being followed up.
- What we did
- We reviewed positioning and existing materials, then ran a six-month plan: operator meetings, agency training and a press trip for two journalists. We produced sales kits in French and Dutch.
- Result
- Two new operator contracts, coverage in a leading travel magazine, and trade enquiries up by more than a third.
Results
What happened when clients worked with us. Names are withheld at clients' request.
How to read these results: figures come from each client’s own reporting over the period stated. Results depend on product, market and season, other campaigns can contribute, and none of them is a guarantee for another brand. A reference call can be arranged when the client agrees.
- The situation
- A destination management company wanted to enter Germany, where buyers expect structured itineraries and detail. Its existing packages did not match.
- What we did
- We restructured itineraries with more defined activities, reviewed pricing, and adapted materials into German. We set up meetings with niche operators and trained their teams to sell the new itineraries.
- Result
- Contracts with three operators and placement in two major catalogues within a year. The revised packages also performed better in other European markets.
- The situation
- A group with properties around the Mediterranean had strong hotels but inconsistent placement in Benelux agency programmes.
- What we did
- We combined sales meetings, agency training and retail partnerships. We wrote short agent guides for each property and coordinated promotions with leading travel networks.
- Result
- More preferred placements, more bookings through agency partners and a clear rise in sales from Benelux within nine months.
- The situation
- An attraction wanted more European visitors but was rarely included in operator programmes or covered by media.
- What we did
- We pitched its story to travel journalists, created trade kits and met operators to get it into regional packages, backed by targeted social content.
- Result
- Coverage in several travel magazines and online outlets, inclusion in several operator itineraries, and more group bookings the following season.
What clients say
Working with LMDV felt like having our own team in Europe. Before, we lost momentum after every trade fair. Now every lead is followed up and meetings are prepared. In the first year we were placed with operators we had been trying to reach for years.
We knew our itineraries were strong, but we were not presenting them the right way. LMDV helped us adapt our offer for Germany, introduced us to the right operators and trained their sales teams. We signed new contracts and appeared in catalogues.
They prepared materials agents actually used and handled the follow-ups we never had time for. Bookings from Benelux went up and our hotels were added to preferred programmes with major agencies.
Operators and media used to overlook us. LMDV pitched our story to journalists, created content that showed what makes us different and introduced us to operators who added us to their itineraries. Group bookings rose the next season.
How we measure
We look at more than one number: contracts signed, catalogue placements, coverage in target outlets, enquiries and bookings. Some results take more than one season to show, so we also track the relationships that lead to them.
Every client gets the same reporting described on our reporting page.
